Join us for Part 2 of our in-person training to become a Benthic Macroinvertebrate (BMI) certified monitor. Following VA Save Our Streams guidelines, Friends staff will walk you through introductory materials required for certification. In parts one and two, you will learn about how the program came to be, identification of BMIs and a talk through of how to sample for BMIs. At the field session, you will practice and demonstrate field techniques for full certification.
This is to be taken in accordance with a Part 1 course and a field session day.
