This winter Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River has partnered with Virginia Cooperative Extension’s 4-H Program to offer a “Wonders of Water” 4-H Day Camp in a Box program featuring environmental and science activities.  This camp is most suitable for ages 9-13, but 5-8 year olds are welcome to register if they have adult help with the activities.  The box will contain enough activities, and most of the supplies needed, for two days, but the activities can fit into your schedule and be done at any time, over any number of days. Most of the activities for one of the days relate to educational concepts around water, watersheds, or landscapes shaped by water and can be done in or around your home.

Cost:  $25 per box (Scholarships are available based on need); Scholarship Assistance Request form can be found here. Payments are to be made by check or cash.  Credit cards not accepted.

Gift certificates are available if you want to gift this camp to a child for Christmas!  Contact the Extension Office for gift certificate information; more information below.

Register: online by Friday, January 8, 2021 using this online entry form.

Box pick-up: Monday, January 25, between 8:30 am – 6 pm at the Shenandoah Co. Extension Office, Suite 100, County Government Center, Woodstock or after January 25 by appointment.  Curbside delivery is available if requested.
