Bird Walk at Seven Bends State Park with Martha Heisel

Date:
Time: to
Location: Lupton Entrance, Seven Bends State Park
Add to Calendar:

Join local birder, Martha Heisel, on a Wednesday morning bird walk. Spring is a great time to welcome migrating birds like warblers and waterfowl to our area and also to see our resident birds as well as they breed and raise their young. Meet at the boat launch parking lot at the Lupton entrance of the park at 8:30am. The walk will wrap up by 10am. Birders should wear sturdy shoes, bring insect repellent, and be prepared to walk (or stroll) 1.5 miles. Please bring your own binoculars and a field guide if you can. We’ll start with a brief session on what birds we might see and where they might be. Also, we’ll go over how to adjust binoculars so they’re ready when a bird is seen.

Limited to 10 participants. Social distancing and mask wearing will be enforced. The event is weather permitting and will be canceled in the event of rain. There is no fee for this program, but parking State Parks pass required.

This event is hosted by Friends of Seven Bends State Park.
