Cory Guilliams, a lead Conservationist with the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service working with the Smith Creek Partnership, discusses how this 105 square mile watershed, listed as impaired for nutrient and sediment pollution in 1996, is becoming part of the solution and a model for remediation of nonpoint source pollution. Cory has worked with the NRCS helping farmers and landowners plan and implement conservation practices on their land for almost 21 years with a little over 17 years of that time here in the Shenandoah Valley. Cory has been directly involved with the Smith Creek Partnership since its inception in 2010.
