Fall River Clean Ups Net Tons of Trash
On October 25th, Friends members joined with employees of Virginia Eagle Distributing in Winchester to clean up sites along the river from Strasburg to Quicksburg.
Again on November 8th, our hardy corps of volunteers had a lot of help from local landowners and Girl Scout troop 1261 as they tackled more sites upstream of New Market and Broadway.
In all, close to 2 tons of trash and over 20 tires were hauled out of the river.
