Seven Bends State Park Volunteer Workday

When: Saturday, June 29, 2019, from 9am to noon.

Where: Meet at the Lupton entrance of the Park (1191 Lupton Rd, Woodstock).

What: Volunteer trail work day and invasive flora species removal. Area of focus: Riverside trail: work to level out trail ground as well as some ditch work. Clearing invasive vegetation.

Weather permitting. We’ll send out an email to cancel if needed.

Hats, long pants (and sleeves) or other outdoor protection recommended. Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bring gloves if you have them. We will provide gloves as well. Some tools provided. If you bring your own tools, they must be inspected and approved by a DCR employee prior to use at the Park.

You must be signed up as a Virginia State Parks volunteer before volunteering at the Park:

You only need to sign up once and then you should log in to record your volunteer hours, if possible, each time you volunteer to be eligible for volunteer rewards through Virginia State Parks.

We’ll have paper forms on site, for those not yet registered as a State Parks volunteer, and a list of those who have already registered.
