Description:  This summer enrichment environmental education day camp is offered by Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River for rising 1st-3rd graders (approximate ages 5-9). It is designed to instill a love of nature and outdoor play while teaching stewardship and caring for the environment. Based around the theme of “From Forest to Faucet”, students will follow the journey of water from where it reaches the earth’s surface to the place from which they consume it. Along the way they will learn in-person about animals, trees, soil, plants, and water through place-based education and outdoor play. On field trip days campers will connect with the river through recreation and science activities. COVID-19 safety measures will be implemented and all campers will be expected to adhere to them so as to make our 2021 camps safe and a success. Need-based scholarships to cover costs of the camp are available; please contact our Program Coordinator for more information.

The Shenandoah River Players Camp is now full for 2021.
