2021 Autumn Lecture Series – The State of the River: Its Health and Ours
Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River is pleased to announce a 2021 Autumn Lecture Series entitled – ‘The State of the River: Its Health and Ours’ to be hosted on Zoom. During the series we will be hearing from regional and state agencies about the current state of North Fork of the Shenandoah River water resources, along with how they are affecting humans and other life around/in it. The dates and titles for the talks include:
- October 28, 2021, 6:00pm to 7:00pm, Fish Populations in the North Fork – Jason Hallacher (DWR)
- November 18, 2021, 6:00pm to 7:00pm, Nuisance Algae Issues in the Shenandoah Basin – Tara Wyrick and Sandra Mueller (Virginia DEQ)
- December 2, 2021, 6:00pm to 7:00pm, Public Health and Harmful Algae Blooms – Margaret Smigo (VDH)
- December 16, 2021, 6:00pm to 7:00pm, Northern Shenandoah Regional Water Supply Plan – John Crockett (NSVRC)
